More than 50 student-athletes and coaches gathered on Sunday, Sept. 18, to take part in our FCA Fall Leadership Training.
It was a privilege to be on the Princeton University campus, and to pour into leaders from every corner of New Jersey as they prepare to make a further impact at their schools, on their teams and in their communities.
A few of the highlights:
A room full of 1-on-1 sharing of personal testimonies
. For some students,
it was the first chance to verbalize what God has done/is doing in their lives. As they were encouraged, we all get better the more we share our stories -- our testimonies.
Answering the question, "What is the Gospel?" It's often the case in a group that the answer is far from uniform, but we examined a simple, clear Gospel presentation
-- God's plan, man's problem, Jesus as the solution, and our chance to respond.
3) A Q&A session with some current Princeton athletes, who are excelling at balancing
faith, athletics and academics. One key takeaway: Don't compartmentalize your life;
God is at work in every area!!!
4) All were pointed to the great (and free) resources FCA has to offer, including
the Daily Impact Play
