Fields of Faith

FCA Community Ministry seeks off-campus opportunities to reach coaches and athletes through the club and recreation sport environment.

With the majority of athletes playing sports in the community (non-campus programs), FCA is ministering to the club, recreational and youth sports teams with the goal of establishing on-going ministry for coaches and athletes to compete for Jesus Christ with character, passion and excellence.

With that in mind, FCA North Jersey is working to build a calendar of events -- outreach into the communities throughout our area and state -- that foremost will shine a light on the Gospel. One of those came via Fields of Faith in October 2015 (VIDEO above, and PHOTO SLIDESHOW here), where students, coaches, athletes, parents, adults, community members came together to stand up as Christians.

FCA's vision is straightforward:

To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

And our mission, how we seek to put that vision into everyday life and ministry, is equally laser-focused:

To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

That vision and mission are integral to everything we do at FCA. And the opportunities we have to truly join God's redemptive work, through sport, extend to every corner of New Jersey's fields, courts, recreation centers, endurance races, wherever!

Fall 2019

In Oklahoma in 2002, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes staff was praying about what do with a heartfelt frustration regarding the temptations and spiritual battles facing our “spectator generation.”

The answer was found in 2 Chronicles 34 – where King Josiah, an influential teenager, gathered his people and challenged them to read God’s Word. As a result, they changed their culture.

May it be so for this generation, and for this culture.
